Motor cars of the 810 series (until January 1, 1988 M 152.0 series, prototypes were originally M 151.0 series) are the most widespread Czech railway motor cars. They are used as driving cars on regional lines with a smaller number of passengers. A total of 680 cars of this series were produced, including two wide-gauge ones (originally series M 152.5, now 810.8). The 810 series cars are often nicknamed "bus" due to the design and components used (bus engine and transmission).
